About Me

I've been drawing cartoons since I was old enough to hold a pencil. I began my cartoon career at age 15, drawing editorial cartoons for The Pacific Sunday News on the island of Guam. I studied Fine Arts at LSU, then moved to Los Angeles working in art galleries, painting album cover billboards for Tower Records on the Sunset Strip, and doing character design and animation for video games. I graduated with a BFA degree in Film/Video from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), where I studied in the Experimental Animation program under Jules Engel. I’ve worked on The Simpsons since 1991 as a character layout artist, storyboard artist, assistant director, and directed seven episodes. I’ve also worked on Futurama, Beavis and Butthead, the UK animated series Full English and many other shows. I’m currently a freelance story artist and writing and developing my own animated series.
